China lifts import ban on U.S., Canada, Mexico pork (Reuters)

Reuters – China has lifted its bans on imports of pork products from the United States, Canada and Mexico, its quarantine bureau said on Tuesday, but analysts said the move would not likely lead to a surge of new imports.

Goodwill Workers Find Marijuana In Donated Jug

 A Goodwill center in Ohio received a donation valued at $1,500, but the charity had to turn over the donation to police.

Employees in Marietta, Ohio opened a two gallon metal water jug and found about a pound of marijuana.

Because it was an anonymous donation, there’s really no way of telling who or where the pot came from.

Police say the marijuana appears to be more than a year old and was probably donated by accident.

Cops: Woman makes threat to help boss make flight (AP)

AP – A South Florida woman has been charged with calling in a bomb threat to keep her boss from missing a flight. An arrest report said a 31-year-old woman was charged Thursday with making a false report of planting a bomb. Miami International Airport officials received a call and an e-mail Wednesday claiming that a bomb was on an American Airlines plane. Police searched the specified aircraft but didn’t find a bomb.

 A 38-year-old former Miss Argentina has died from complications after undergoing cosmetic surgery on her buttocks.

Solange Magnano, a mother of twins who won the crown in 1994, died of a pulmonary embolism Sunday after three days in critical condition following a gluteoplasty in Buenos Aires.

Close friend Roberto Piazza said the procedure involved injections and the liquid “went to her lungs and brain.”

“A woman who had everything lost her life to have a slightly firmer behind,” he said.

Magnano’s burial Monday was shown on Argentine television.

Dr. Gonzalo Cortes y Tristan said she arrived at his hospital with an acute respiratory deficiency. Her condition deteriorated until she suffered the embolism.

**VIDEO** Investigation Over Brutal Attack At Jay-Z’s Club

 Police plan to file charges against several bouncers who were videotaped beating two men outside a nightclub co-owned by hip-hop star Jay Z.

A video was shot by a disc jockey who had just finished performing early Saturday inside the 40/40 Club and shows about nine security guards kicking and punching two men in a parking lot.

“Stop! Stop! Stop!” one of them yells. “I didn’t do nothing!”

The video shows one of the two men being kicked while he was lying on the ground, and also shows as many as six bouncers swarming and punching the other man, Tyrell Durant, 26, of Neptune.
