Hit him well wishes on Twitter @GuruGangStarr

There were multiple reports today that Keith “Guru” Elam, from the legendary Gang Starr has suffered cardiac arrest and is in a coma. (i.e. HipHopDX and HipHopWired) My sources have only confirmed to me that yes, Guru is in a New York-area hospital after a cardiac episode. And that his friends, family and a generation of fans are currently praying for the best. I’m also hearing that Guru is undergoing surgery soon. So, until more concrete details are available and we wish for the best, here are some of classic Guru moments….

Update: Guru’s former partner, our friend DJ Premier was set to call into DJ Eclipse’s HipHopNation/Sirius show to speak on Guru’s health, but has decided to wait. Perhaps because his condition is so tenuous.
