Atlanta’s own snowman, Young Jeezy links up with California’s own Keyshia Cole for a new track called “Never Again.” It’s funny the two are on this song, as Young Jeezy and Keyshia Cole were said to have been involved in a relationship in the past. “Making the Band” stars Que and Dawn are set to star in their own reality. Que, formerly of Day 26, and Dawn formerly of Danity Kane and current member of Dirty Money, have been confirmed for a new reality show. The couple is looking to start taping by the summer. 

The yet to be named show will feature the reality show couple that met and fell in love during “Making The Band 4.” 

“We have been going to MTV and meeting with some people in talks of a t.v. show so i’m excited that it got confirmed.” said Que. “it’s just a part of my career  I want people to understand my music and get to know me musically.”

After Beyonce’s ‘Videophone’ remix featuring Lady Gaga, I anxiously awaited the second collaboration between these two females. My curiosity was settled and completely satisfied when I heard ‘Telephone.’ Individually these women are fire and together they seem invincible. There’s something ridiculously exciting about watching two huge stars work together and being able to witness the product of that work is even more satisfying.

There’s been some hype about what the ‘Telephone’ video would be like and now that it’s finally debuted we don’t have to try and figure out what genius idea Beyonce and Lady Gaga will come up with anymore.

If I could explain this 9+ minute video in one sentence it would be ‘confusing yet intriguing but so damn creative.’ The lyrics of the song made me picture a club scene but what I got couldn’t have been more different. The truth is I’ll take whatever Lady Gaga will give me, I’m infatuated.

Lady Gaga walking down the hall of a jail looking chic and sexy throughout the opening scene didn’t surprise me as her look never seems to disappoint no matter where she is or what she’s doing. But when two female officers stripped down Gaga and threw her naked body onto the bed in her cell I couldn’t help but think ‘WTF?’ When followed by dialogue between the two officers “I told you she didn’t have a d*ck…too bad” I was impressed by the shot at the rumormill which never seems to leave Lady Gaga alone.

Gaga does what she wants and says what she wants and who can’t respect that? You never know what she will say, do, or wear next. Like in the second scene of the video where she is escorted into the courtyard wearing chains and sunglasses made of burning cigarette butts, I try to figure out how she came up with this so I stay focused trying so hard to understand how this girl’s mind works.

The actual song doesn’t start playing until about 3 minutes into the video, so consider this a short film. Cat fights, fashion which seems more like art, jacked up women, and of course Beyonce are all reasons I didn’t mind taking up 9+ minutes of my life just to watch a music video. But what was with the drive-thru food and the photoshoot of Beyonce while in the car?

I’m going to take this video as Beyonce and Lady Gaga making the most of their opportunity to work together. Some of the scenes seemed random and a little over the top but both of these women are the best at what they do. I was impressed and definitely entertained with a small side of confusion, but I have no complaints.

No matter where you lived, what race, or sex you are, you have a Dave Chappelle skit memorized and you bring it up anytime his named is mentioned. I’m not sure when my obsession with this funny guy developed, but I know that it is quite intense. It could be the fact that he is born and raised in Washington, D.C like myself, that made me such a diehard fan, or we can charge it to his undeniable talent as a comedian. Whatever the case or blame maybe I know that I am not the only fan of Dave Chappelle. So on this gloomy New York City Friday, I thought to share with you all some of my highlights from the Dave Chappelle Show. This is meant for a little comedic relief and not to offend anyone. Disclaimer: If you are faint of heart do not pass go, don’t collect $200 and don’t read this blog!

Super producer, Scott Storch, was web surfing on globalgrind.com yesterday and he came across Aussie sensation Emily Sears.  The 24 year old singer wrote a blog on globalgrind sharing her experience in the states and how she finds it difficult to break into an industry already flooded with talent.  Inspired by music her entire life she moved to the states to find out it’s a crazy business and that you have to deal with less than honorable people to get ahead.  A road she refused to travel on. The honesty in her words lead to Scott Storch reaching out to the young singer and we are glad to say a potential partnership is in the works.

There’s been much speculation on how Lil Wayne’s jail sentence is going to turn out. Even though Lil Wayne is a big superstar, it seems that he’s getting treated like everyone else in prison and isn’t getting special treatment. It’s been reported that a rep for the Correction Officer’s Benevolent Association has confirmed that officials have issued a “no autograph” mandate at the prison, because Lil Wayne is not a celebrity in the jail.

I think Wayne’s sentence will go smoothly and he won’t run into any problems. If so, I’m sure we’ll hear about it. Stay tuned for more details and stories on Lil Wayne’s jail sentence.
